This panel comprised authors Kim Lakin-Smith, Tim Lebbon, Marie O’Regan and Paul Kane.
_______________
1) An Audience with Ramsey Campbell and Stephen Jones
If you are a genre fan these two need no introduction, they have both had a significant impact on British Horror. Ramsey and Stephen edited The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror together for a number of years and Ramsey is still a regular contributor, while Stephen is in his 20th year of editing the anthology. Whilst their CV’s are extensive, it was Best New Horror that was at the core of their discussion.
A lively and fascinating conversation was held in front of a small audience covering the book in particular, editing generally, horror as a genre and some of the writers who made their debut in the anthology. The shared passion for good horror stories was evident throughout and the audience was utterly absorbed. A few questions were taken and then, sadly, we had to wrap up so that everyone could meet their next commitment.
My thanks once again to Stephen and Ramsey for their time on what I know was a busy day for them both. If you wish to embed the podast on your own site, you can get the code from here.
